Frequently asked questions
Is your driving school approved by the MTO (Ministry of Transportation of Ontario)?
Are all driving schools MTO approved?
No, we would like to warn you that not all schools are MTO approved. Be aware of schools that say they are ministry approved but actually aren’t; you will not get an insurance discount because they can’t certify you with the MTO. You can check for a school’s certification on this link: http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/dandv/driver/gradu/approve.shtml
What services do you offer?
Can I join a driving course without my G1?
Do I have to finish my classes before I get in-car sessions?
Our instructors will pick you up from your home or school and drop you back there after the lesson is completed. If you have a preferred alternate location, speak to your instructor about it and they may be able to work something out. If you wish to be picked up or dropped off out of the city boundaries there will be a $20.00 surcharge.
What is MTO certification and how will it affect my insurance?
After completing an MTO approved Beginner Driver Education course, you will be certified with the MTO. This means that you can pick up a document known as a Driver License History from any Ontario Service Centre and take it to an insurance company as proof that you have completed an MTO approved BDE course, making you eligible for a potential discount on your auto insurance.
How much discount will I get on my insurance with the certificate?
Who books my road test?
Where will I get picked up for my in-car lessons?
What is the benefit of completing the Beginner Driver Education course?
What if I need more than 10 hours of in-car lessons?
Do I have to complete my G1 in order to attend your program?
No. You are allowed to enroll into our course prior to completing your G1. Our in-class sessions may actually assist with the review of the G1 test.
Ontario law states that you must have a G1 license before you can take in-car lessons.
Can I use the instructor's car for the road test?
I already know how to drive, can I buy a certificate from you?
I already have my G1. Do I need the classroom?
